Continuing education in the science system
Conception, organisation and implementation of continuing education formats for universities
Conception, organisation and implementation of continuing education formats for universities
I design, organise and implement continuing education programmes in the science system for universities and scientific institutions. This work combines scientific analysis, organisational expertise and many years of experience as a trainer and programme manager.
I offer a wide range of continuing education formats - from targeted workshops to multi-module, cross-support programmes. I draw on my extensive experience as head of HR and university development organisations at various universities, where I designed, developed and was responsible for continuing education programmes.

Training specialisations
My further education courses are aimed at people who work at the interface between science, teaching, management and organisation - in universities and non-university scientific institutions:
- Project management and coordination
- University professionals and people from the third space
- People in management, steering and development roles
- Designers of university, teaching and academic development processes
- Employees in scientific institutions
The thematic focus of my further education work includes
- Leadership and lateral leadership in the science system
- Project, change and organisational development
- Role clarification and professional positioning in complex organisational contexts
- Working in formal and informal hierarchies
- Governance, decision-making and control logics in universities and scientific institutions
- Sustainable anchoring of projects, programmes and innovations
The following formats have proven their worth:
- Multi-module training programmes
- Funding and programme-related qualifications
- Networking and reflection formats
Trainer & didactic design
I also work as a trainer in further education, design didactic settings and accompany learning and development processes in a processual manner. In doing so, I combine a system-theoretical foundation with practical reflection and attach great importance to:
- Experience-based learning
- collegial exchange and networking
- Transfer to the respective institutional context
- a protected space for reflection on complex role requirements
Among others, the following are used:
- Face-to-face, online and hybrid formats
- Multi-module programmes
- Workshops, training and accompanying reflection formats
- Accompanying individual and group coaching
- Body-orientated experience spaces (e.g. Strategic boxing coaching)

Experience in large-scale training programmes
I do not see continuing education as an isolated qualification offer, but as a strategic instrument for the further development of universities and scientific organisations.
In my work, I have not only carried out further education programmes, but also set them up structurally and coordinated and further developed large-scale further education programmes. These include, in particular, funding-related and cross-university programmes in which continuing education is designed to accompany development and change processes.
I realise larger programmes in collaboration with a sustainable network of trainers, coaches and scientific experts.
Attitude & approach
My training work is systemic, organisation-sensitive and science-oriented. I work consistently on the connection between:
- individual professionalisation
- organisational conditions
- structural and science policy framework conditions
The aim is to strengthen the ability to act, orientation and effectiveness in the complex scientific system.
